Baltic Cities tackle lifestyle related disease: BaltCityPrevention listens to Icelandic experiences
The planned Interreg Vb project „Baltic Cities tackle lifestyle related diseases – The development of an innovative model for prevention interventions targeting public health authorities in the Baltic Sea Region“ strives to enhance the institutional capacity of Public Health Authorities in the Baltic Sea Region, supporting them in their task to offer effective prevention and health promotion interventions.
The project will develop a new integrated approach to promote a healthier lifestyle which will be tested with adolescents. Thus, the objectives of the project are in line with the actions taken in Iceland in order to reduce teenage smoking, drinking and drug abuse. The project is coordinated by Hochschule Flensburg, University of Applied Sciences.
The Icelandic way could offer valuable input and best practice examples for BaltCityPrevention.
