10th Federal Conference on Health Economy: 10 Years Engine for Sciences and Economy, May 21 and 22, 2014, Rostock

Since 2005 the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern hosts the Federal Conference on Health Economy on behalf of the German federal government. This year the anniversary conference will be held on 21st and 22nd May 2014 in Rostock under the title “Federal Conference on Health Economy: 10 years engine for sciences and economy!”

We cordially invite you to take again active part in our event!

Invited participants join in our conference, and over the past years it has established itself as the fixed event for actors in German Health Economy. The conference is also increasingly raising awareness on an international level. Some 600 national and international experts from sciences, economy and politics discuss the economic aspects connected to the entire field of health in workshops and forums.

This year the Federal Conference is dedicating its content to the full range of Health Economy. The concept foresees that the diverse content of Health Economy shall be dealt with based on two sources: The projected focal areas of funding by the European Union as of 2014 and the fields of action defined by the master plan on Health Economy 2020 of our state government.

As a consequence the following topics will discussed:

–        Life Science,

–        health related services,

–        healthy age(-ing),

–        health tourism and

–        nutrition for health.
Baltic Sea Health Region Meeting
The “Baltic Sea Health Region Meeting” is the international forum of the conference, organised in the North European Health and Life Science Network ScanBalt. Part one will have presentations about EU funding instruments on regional, national and EU level. Part two and three are organised as a matchmaking event to allow a fast identification of potential cooperation partners.

An industry exhibition and framework programme round off the Conference and offers sufficient room for all participants to make new contacts or revive relations.

Welcome to Rostock – the beautiful port to the Baltic Sea Region!
