Baltic Forum for Innovation and Entrepreneurship – April 2005, Preliminary Program.

The preliminary program for the first Baltic Forum on Innovation and Development has been released, the event will be organised by the Gruendeflair Network, in Mecklenburg-Pomerania, and held at the Univerisity of Rostock.

By drawing together international expertise the aim of the conference is to optimise the support for technology or knowledge based start up companies, which originate from an academic or research background, in the Baltic Sea region. As an international platform for discussion on effective methods and models for research exploitation, the conference aims to encourage the exchange of experiences relating to research commercialization.

The two day event includes an overview of innovation policy in the Baltic States and Europe, and a discussion of technology exploitation, from the perspectives of both the entrepreneur and the researcher.

Conference presenters include experts in research exploitation, technology commercialization and the financing of spin-offs, particularly in the Baltic Sea region.

ScanBalt will publish more details regarding the final program, as they become available.
