New ScanBalt vice-chairmen elected

New ScanBalt vice-chairmen electedTwo new ScanBalt vice-chairmen were elected during the ExCo meeting in Riga on March 6, 2008.

Tero Piispanen, M.Sc(Eng), MBA

 
Tero is the national coordinator of the Finnish HealthBIO cluster, funded by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy.  He has several years of experience in technology transfer in the far east in Tunturi Inc, and he has also worked as a risk financier of high technology companies in Finnvera plc. Before joining Turku Science Park, Tero worked seven years in Innomedica ltd as business development director.
 

Katarina Gårfeldt, PhD



Katarina Gårdfeldt, Ph D. Current position as environmental coordinator and head of administration at the Centre for Environment and Sustainability at Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg. Lead partner of trans disciplinary cooperation projects between European Universities, regions and industry for e.g education and sustainable chemical production. “On the Road to Climate Neutral Freight Transportation” is an other initiative that Katarina work with together with leading industry partners and Swedish authorities. She is also active at the department of chemistry at University of Gothenburg with Arctic research activities connected to the cycling and transformation of mercury species between sea-water and air.
