The EDAH Consortium organises a side event in the frame of the high-level Conference on Personalised Medicine on May 28th and 29th of May. This is a great opportunity to delve into EHDS aspects concerning secondary use of health data use and personalised medicine, particularly in industry settings.

This initiative, supported by Biocat, ScanBalt, Council of European BioRegions, Health Cluster Portugal, and local partners like the Flemish GovernmentSciensano and SITRA, aims to update EHDS status and highlight opportunities for advancing personalised treatments in both public and private research realms.

Join us to discuss relevant aspects of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regarding the secondary use of data and personalised medicine for the European ecosystems!

The session will explore initiatives, projects and networks on health data use to inspire other regions, member states and networks in their data space challenges.

11:45 – 12:30 Session II- Unlocking the Potential

This session will be dedicated to the implementation of the EHDS. Implementation is multidimensional; common policies need to be aligned with and need to be complementary to the EHDS, the digital transformation and the appropriate technical infrastructures are key requirements for participating in the EHDS. Finally, all stakeholders in the health system need to be mobilised to ensure optimal implementation and early buy-in.

12.30 – 13:30 Session III – ScanBalt-EDAH Declaration

Since 2019, ScanBalt has followed the EHDS development process by formulating declarations based on the feedback collected from stakeholders. Now, that the European Parliament has approved the EHDS regulation, we have collecting another round of feedback in the framework of EDAH project. The results results of this survey together with the highlights of the EIT Health’s Think Tank report, “Implementing the European Health Data Space across Europe” will be presented and discussed at the session.
