We cordially invite you to actively accompany the creation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) together with us.
ScanBalt – the association of research clusters in the Baltic Sea Region and Scandinavia, has been accompanying the digitisation of healthcare and healthcare research in Europe for many years. In 2020, during the German EU Presidency, we adopted the ScanBalt Declaration together with research regions from all over Europe. Here, we recommended concrete steps toward the digitalisation of health in the EU.
In the meantime, the European Commission has published the proposals for European Health Data Space (A European Health Data Space for people and science). We would therefore like to take advantage of the French EU Council Presidency and evaluate the current proposals of the Commission together with our partners. The focus is on improving the quality of care for patients throughout Europe.
Please join us in this initiative and send us your ideas for a common European Health Data Space that uses digitalisation to improve the lives of patients and people in need of care.
Please support the declaration and join the civil society movement for a European Health Data Space.
With best wishes,
ScanBalt’s core team
