3 ScanBalt countries in top ten in overall biotechnology innovation

Denmark (3), Finland (7) and Sweden (9) give ScanBalt BioRegion a prominent representation at the top 10 of the list in overall biotechnology innovation according to the recently published 2016 Scientific American Worldview ranking.

Germany (12), Netherlands (14) and Norway (19) are other well placed ScanBalt nations.

The East Baltic ScanBalt countries Estonia (25), Lithuania (33), Poland (36) and Latvia (39) still have a gap to close.

ScanBalt works intensely with partners from the Danube Area to close those gaps in the project DanuBalt: Novel Approaches in Tackling the Health Innovation and Research Divide in the Danube and Baltic Sea Region.

This latest analysis thus demonstrate the relevance and need of DanuBalt and the importance to implement the DanuBalt investment catalogue to be published later this year.
