AB-RMS Symposium & Postgraduate Course: Root Infection Biology, Feb 2006, Germany
The Second Baltic Sea Region SYMPOSIUM AND POSTGRADUATE COURSE of the network AB-RMS (Agro–Biotechnology focused on Root-Microbe Systems) will concentrate on ROOT INFECTION BIOLOGY: PATHOGENIC INTERACTIONS.
DEADLINE for applications: December 9, 2005
PhD students and scientists active within plant and microbial research or associated topics are invited to participate. A total of 20 scientists and 30 PhD students can obtain financial support for participation from the organizers.
The event will take place at University of Hamburg, Germany, on February
25 – March 3, 2006. Invited teachers include Dr. Anne Osbourn (John Innes Centre, UK) on fungal infections in roots, Dr. Kornelia Smalla (BBA- Braunschweig, Germany) on nucleic acid extraction from soil, and Dr.
Dietrich Lesemann and Dr. Renate König (BBA-Braunschweig) on soil-borne viruses.

The research consortium of the 10 Baltic Sea region countries working on Potato mop-top virus will have the annual project meeting prior to the AB- RMS course in Hamburg.
