Bioinformatics and proteomics united between Swedish and Danish companies

bioTEAMsouth yesterday released the news of an alliance between Swedish bioinformatics company Ludesi, a leading software firm in the rapidly growing proteomics sector, and Danish proteomics company Alphalyse, an international Contract Research Organization (CRO) with a unique protein identification and characterization platform. They announced an agreement to offer integrated proteomics services to the global pharmaceutical market.

The strategic alliance will form northern Europe’s strongest coalition for CRO in proteomics, combining Ludesi’s internationally acknowledged software for proteome informatics and systems biology with Alphalyse’s protein separation technology and ultra-sensitive protein identification and characterization. This will address the mounting need of biomarker discovery projects in pharmaceutical industry today.
