BONEBANK – Biobank and Innovation Platform for Stem Cells in Bone Regeneration: Meet Thomas Frahm at ScanBalt Forum
The innovative approach of the project BONEBANK is to collect and isolate mesenchymal stem cells by new technologies during routine surgeries and to store them in a cross-border biobank. The project partner Life Science Nord will, amongst other activities, develop a business model for these stem cells with high market potential, focussing on industrial and public research and, as a long-term goal, on orthopaedic therapy

About the ScanBalt Forum Speaker Thomas Frahm, presenting BONEBANK
As biologist by training, Thomas Frahm has practical scientific expertise in nanotechnology, toxicology and cell biology. Since he joined the cluster Life Science Nord Management GmbH in 2012, he is e.g. responsible for the coordination of international projects with topics on bone healing and fractures, infections and digitalization and eHealth.
Moreover, he provides help and knowledge regarding business development to start-ups and innovation management to industry, hospitals and universities.
