Bright prospects for clinical imaging

Scientists in North Germany are breaking new ground in clinical imaging methods and setting the region apart for excellence in research and development

It is extremely fast, with high resolution, sensitive and radiation-free; MPI is an imaging procedure, and scientists at the prestigious University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf are about to set new standards by officially setting up the world’s first industrially produced system for Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI). The application options range from tumour medicine, cardiovascular intervention and neurovascular medicine, inflammation and metabolic research.
