The Swedish Trade Council in Russia and the Consulate General of Sweden in St. Petersburg, have the pleasure to invite you to a business event ”Swedish Business Days” in Pskov, May 24-27, 2005.

The Swedish Business Days in Pskov are organized in order to identify develop and strengthen Swedish business contacts in this highly interesting region that offers so many possibilities within a number of different industries and for specific reasons. Thanks to very attractive cost levels, local investment & tax incentives, its geographical location on the Russian border to Estonia and Latvia and its well developed manufacturing industry it offers many unique advantages to many different industries including machinery, construction materials, food production and textile – to mention a few.  The access of an experienced, cost-efficient workforce and its strategic location just outside the extended EU makes it a potentially a very interesting platform for Swedish companies or Swedish companies located in the Baltics –  whether it be outsourcing of production, assembly or contractual production or pure sourcing for products.

Why to do Business in Pskov ?

– A unique geographic location:  Borders with Latvia, Estonia and Belorussia, close to Moscow and St. Petersburg
– Favorable investment climate: Significant tax privileges and investment incentives, a competitive skilled labor force with production costs. In many areas of the emerging markets prices and access to labor are in shortage or become less advantages – not in Pskov.
– Large production sites of the key industries: Machine engineering, construction materials, food and textile industries

During two days in Pskov you will have the possibility to meet representatives from different companies, to take part in seminars and get acquainted with the Pskov region.  Tailor-made match-making sessions with selected potential partners will be organized for your company in advance.

During the event key-players from the local industry and decision-makers from the city administration of Pskov will participate to present the region and opportunities for your company. You will also have the possibility to mingle informally at a reception organized by the Consul General of Sweden in St. Petersburg and the Trade Commissioner in Russia. Many high ranking decision makers of the local business community and administration from the city administration will be participating.
