Danish County of Århus concentrates all hospitals into one site
In a county council meeting in Århus, Denmark, on the 1st of February 2005 a master plan for the hospitals in Århus was decided upon by large majority. With just one single vote against the politicians pointed out that all hospitals in Århus should be concentrated in Skejby.
By this decision “Århus Kommunehospital” and “Århus Amtssygehus” will be moving to new buildings at Skejby. The sale of the current hospital complexes will aid to finance the new buildings, which will amount in total to about 5000 million DKK.
