DTx New Nordics Conference is part of the Estonian Health Tech Week, which is packed full of insightful sessions and discussions led by top experts in digital health and therapeutics. We are also honoured to welcome Minister of Health Riina Sikkuti, who stands for innovative health policies.
This conference will concentrate on the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and its impact on advancing digital health services and European reimbursement models, overcoming market entry barriers for digital health services, as well as the opportunities and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence into digital health services.

SESSION I – Unlocking the Power of Health Data: Navigating its Role in Digital Therapeutics (DTx)
The European Parliament has recently approved the proposal by the European Commission on European Health Data Space (EHDS). The session aims to discuss the status of the EHDS implementation process at the European as well as member state levels from the perspective of primary and secondary health data use with a particular emphasis on supporting the advancement of innovative digital solutions in health. 13:00-14:30 | SESSION II – Software as a medical device: National reimbursement models and MDR (Navigating Reimbursement Challenges in Digital Therapeutics: Lessons from Europe) Considering the nature of software-based products and services, the main hurdle in bringing DTx tools to market is reimbursement. Specific models have already been developed and implemented in different European countries. We will explore best practices and unravel how the EU AI Act will affect the process.
