EDAH – European Data Space in Health
The EDAH Consortium, formed by two clusters – Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia and the Health Cluster Portugal, and two meta-clusters – (ScanBalt BioRegion and the Council of European BioRegions – CEBR is working to develop a joint action plan to bridge the current digital health roll-out gap in Europe.
The overall mission is to achieve more efficient disease prevention and treatment to ensure a better quality of life in Europe and globally.
The first phase of the EDAH project is focused on analysis and establishing a dialogue. The 3 main tasks of this phase are:
- To ensure a coherent overview of strategic developments related to the EHDS and develop a deeper understanding in 7 major EU ecosystems (Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal, Spain and Sweden), laying the groundwork for involving the different groups of stakeholders in the quadruple helix.
- To establish a coordination mechanism to engage them in conversations around challenges and opportunities to advance the EHDS.
- To scale up the dialogue to EU level by developing futher paths of collaboration through the EU presidencies (Czech Republic, Sweden, Spain and Belgium), providing input for the definition of their agendas.
