First meeting of ScanBalt Marine Biotechnology network

A very successful 2 days workshop was held in Copenhagen on 15-16 January 2004. The workshop was supported by a Norfa grant.
The participants were renowned Marine Scientist representing Marine Biotech interest in the majority of the ScanBalt Region.

A Marine Biotech Network application will be submitted in May 2004. A core application group is established. A NorFa Marine Biotech Network will establish a Nordic – Baltic platform for communication and cooperation.

The aim is to strengthen the quality of research, improve shared use of marine research infrastructures, set up joint training courses, and information dissemination. For further information contact project manager Lise Vinkel at
