For startups and founders: The application round for this year’s Baltic Sea Region Innovation Award (BSR HIA) is now open (deadline 25 March 2022)

The application round for this year’s Baltic Sea Region Innovation Award (BSR HIA) is now open!

The BSR HIA is an internationally oriented award for innovative ideas of companies in the healthcare industry, which will be awarded during the 17th National Healthcare Industry Conference on June 15 and 16, 2022 in Rostock. It is awarded with the support of technology centres and organized by BioCon Valley® GmbH.

The aim is to sustainably support the commercial utilization of ideas and inventions from the healthcare economy in the Baltic Sea region. In addition, the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern wants to expand its international networks and scientific cooperation in the Baltic Sea region.

The competition, hosted under the patronage of the Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Manuela Schwesig, is addressed towards start-ups (companies not older than five years) and those who want to become one (individuals, teams) from all countries bordering the Baltic Sea.

The BSR HIA is endowed with 10,000 euros (1st prize), 6,000 euros (2nd prize) and 2,000 euros (3rd prize) and includes prize money and non-monetary benefits worth the same amount as well as a travel voucher for participation in the National Conference on Health Economy on June 15 and 16, 2022.
