Networking day strengthens German-Polish Collaboration. Project funding available.
More than 120 participants from small and medium sized enterprises, industry and academic research met in the Polish-German Networking-Day, held in Szczecin Jan 27th, 2006. The representatives of the German networks “kompetenznetze” focused on “Molecular Medicine in EuroRegion Pomerania”, “Sepsis”, “Plant Genetics” and “Transportation&Mobility” actively used the chance, to make first contacts and intensify exsisting partnerships in the next neighbourhood of the university cities of Szczecin and Greifswald.
The participants of the Polish and German governments appreciated the goal of the meeting and presented their instruments to assist crossborder collaboration.
The Internationales Büro, the funding agency of the German Ministry of Education and Science prolonged the deadline for application for the special funding program “International Cooperation in Education and Research – Central, Eastern and South Eastern European Region Programme”. It makes funds available for preparatory projects in the field of applied research, development and education in order to place project applications in current BMBF funding programmes and to prepare projects on thematic priorities of the 7th Research Framework Programme as well as on other EU programmes. Deadline: March 31th, 2006.
