German Swedish Seminar: Nanotechnology in Medicine and Engineering, Germany

The main goal of this seminar is to promote and further Swedish-German collaboration in nanotechnological and nanoscientific research and development in a context of European welfare and growth. It will focus on medicine and medical applications within a broader bioengineering field.

An important aspect is to be the discussion on bioethical issues, related to nanoscience and – technology and their possible development. Further contributions will cover recent trends, national programs and a European perspective as well as examples and experiences from Germany and Sweden.

Participants from outside Rostock will be offered to join a complementary morning bus tour, including breakfast and visits to some institutions and other places of interest in Rostock.
