A high-ranking Japanese delegation the 24th of July travelled with representatives of Hamburg Business Development Corporation (HWF) and life science experts to Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein to find out about options of a strategic cooperation.
Among the guests from Kobe is the head of the Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation (FBRI) and the local director of the Japan External Trade (JETRO) who staid for two days in North Germany.
They were welcomed by Dr. Hinrich Habeck, CEO of the cluster organiziation Life Science Nord Management GmbH: „We value Kobe as a very strong place for biotechnology and medical technologies. A cooperation of these industries with a highly innovative country like Japan would be of great value for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.“
