Nanofood Conference, 7th June, Denmark
Denmark holds a strong and experienced industry in food technology, and especially the region around the city Aarhus contains several strong players. To improve food safety and nutrition, breaking new research using novel technologies, like nanotechnology, is needed. The Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) at Aarhus University combines research in physics, chemistry, biology, molecular biology and medicine to perform outstanding research in the field of nanotechnology. To facilitate interactions between research and industry, a new consortium in food-nanotechnology has been established (partners).
To launch the consortium, the conference Nanofood will be held in Aarhus on June 7th, 2005 (registration). The hope is to cover as many aspects of food-nanotechnology as possible (i.e. safety, delivery, packaging, perspectives, regulations etc.).
