NanoFOOD Consortium: Securing safe and healthy food

June 14th, 2005: The members in the NanoFOOD consortium has joined forces to create pioneer research and development, which may be used in the food industry

A newly established consortium between some of Northern Europe’s strongest actors in the food industry will strengthen the efforts to develop more safe and healthy food. The consortium, which is open to Danish as well as international companies and research institutions, focuses on the development and use of new technologies, processes, food products and ingredients.

The founders of the consortium include: Arla Foods amba, Danisco A/S, Aarhus United A/S, Danish Crown amba, Systematic Software Engineering A/S, the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Centre (iNANO), University of Aarhus, the Danish Technological Institute, the University College of Aarhus, the Danish Institute of Agricultural Science, the Danish Institute for Food and Veterinary Research, the Aarhus City Council and the Aarhus County Council.
