New ScanBalt Position Paper: Metaregions and FP 7

ScanBalt is proud to publish its first position paper. The objective of this position paper is to contribute to the debate regarding the EU’s seventh framework programme for research and technological development (FP 7).

The key recommendations of the paper are:

Strengthen meta-regional infrastructures for education, research, innovation, tech-transfer and development
Increase synergy between FP 7, Interreg, Eureka, other EU-funds as well as the Northern Dimension Action Plan, Nordic Innovation Centre and other regional initiatives.
Increase meta-regional representation in the EU advisory structure wherever it is relevant
