Nordic backing for excellence in researchEducation, training and research activities account for around a quarter of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ total budget. In the light of the decision by the Nordic Prime Ministers to prioritise facing up to the challenges posed by globalisation, it is a sector unlikely to become any less important in the future, as a result of which the Council of Ministers has set up an excellence in research project.
