Polish high efficiency DNA purification for gene therapy applications
A Polish University offers technology providing efficient large-scale production of virus, plasmid, bacterial and any other DNA. They designed a combination of components in the medium for culturing bacteria currying plasmid for more efficient recovery of plasmid DNA from the cultured cells.
This plasmid DNA belongs to the commonly used plasmid cloning vectors in E.coli or as a basis for construction novel cloning vectors. They are also a source of plasmid DNA used in DNA-size markers preparation, and as a source of DNA in gene therapy technologies. A purified DNA is used as an additive to cosmetic products and any may be applied in medicine.
