Report from Biotechnology Summer School in Gdansk, Poland.Gdansk, July 2006.
70 Students and 42 professors from different countries (Germany, Sweden, Canada, France, Great Britain, Poland) participated in the 12 biotechnology Summer School.

The main topics this year were:
Molecular diagnostics
Treatment of infectious diseases
Cancer.

Other sessions were dedicated to  – Law and management of scientific projects, Statistics, Molecular virology and Molecular oncology.

Topics induced lots of discussions and new ideas. Students enjoyed motivating and stimulating atmosphere and informal ways of learning from experts on different fields of biotechnology.

XII Biotechnology Summer School was held near Gdańsk in July 2006.

The main organizer was Prof. Ewa Łojkowska the Dean of The Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology University of Gdańsk & Medical University of Gdańsk (MUG) in cooperation with the group of biotechnology students and International Relations Office of MUG.

This years Summer school was supported  by The Centre of Excellence in Bio-safety and Molecular Biomedicine “BioMoBiL and  ScanBalt Campus Project.
