ScanBalt booth at Communicating European Research Conference, Brussels

John Wedderburn and Elise Kvarnström from the ScanBalt secretariat presented ScanBalt, and its projects, at a booth at the recent ‘Communicating European Research’ conference in Brussels, in early November.

The conference gave ScanBalt the opportunity to present is ongoing work to the EU commission but also make contact with members, journalists and scientists. The event was well attended, with approximately 2 700 people registered and there was significant interest in ScanBalt.

It was extremely useful to see ScanBalt in the context of other EU projects and activities, and good to see the role that ScanBalt can have in helping Europe to acheive its goals’ of increased competivenss and improved quality of life. Furthermore, many individuals were already aware of ScanBalt and saw many opportunities for future collaboration.
