FutuTest Plc launching genetic testing by FERTIFY to predict fertility and age-related infertility

FERTIFY^TM is a unique genetic test for predicting female fertility and age-related infertility provided by an Estonian company FutuTest Plc.

The test is based on proprietary algorithm of FutuTest (FERTIFY^TM), which uses the results of whole-genome array genotyping and takes into account over 800 genetic variants that have a proven association with reproductive aging. FERTIFY^TM test has several advantages over conventional markers for female fertility evaluation, as it can be used in young women who do not show changes in hormone dynamics, and there is no need for repeated testing, making it a one-time expense.

In a very simplified sense, the test summarizes the effect of the 800 genetic variants and generates a risk score for reproductive aging – the greater the genetic risk score, the greater the risk for early menopause and infertility.

The test is suitable for any woman independent of age but is more useful starting from early thirties, before greater age-related changes in fertility have taken place. FERTIFY^TM can be used as a tool for knowledgeable family planning, before in vitro fertilization (IVF) or before oocyte freezing. As a result of the test, the client is provided with personalized recommendations regarding the ways for fertility enhancement, and fertility testing and preservation.
