ScanBalt and MedCoast Scandinavia welcome you to the 4th ScanBalt Forum.
Everyone is welcome at the 4th ScanBalt forum, providing opportunities for collaboration, the initiation of new projects and a dialogue with policy makers and key figures in the ScanBalt BioRegion
ScanBalt is a network of networks representing a number of regional networks between universities, hospitals, public institutions, companies and other important actors within the life science arena in ScanBalt BioRegion. The BioRegion encompasses 11 countries around the Baltic Sea.
There will be an extensive range of sessions – presented by the best of the BioRegion’s scientific and business leaders. Topics will include stem cell research, marine biotechnology, venture finance and agro-biotechnology within the theme of ScanBalt Campus, a ScanBalt project aiming to increase trans-national and public-private cooperation in education, research and innovation.

The 4th ScanBalt Forum will take place in Oslo, Norway on 3-4 November 2005, and is hosted by Medcoast Scandinavia – a network organisation promoting the biomedical sector in the Oslo – Gothenburg region.
Please Note: The ScanBalt Forum is open to all, but members receive a discount on registration.

ScanBalt projects, including Competence Region,Campus, Clinical Research Network, Biotech One Click Away, andBoosting Baltic will also be presented.
Plenery speakers will include representatives from the EU, the Nordic Innovation Centre and the Baltic Development Forum.
There will also be a symposium, on the subject of Neuroscience and Energy Metabolism, held in conjunction with the conference.

The Forum will be held at Glaxo Smith Kline and Rikshospitalet, The Valley of Gaustabekk, near the city centre of Oslo. Opening hours are 3 Nov 8.30 am – 5.30 pm and 4 Nov 8.30 am – 5 pm.
