Estonian biotech companies looking for cooperation
A number of Estonian biotech companies are looking for cooperation. Estonian companies have strong ties to local bio centres, universities and technology centres but are looking for further cooperation’s especially in the regional and European dimension. Interview with Søren Mouritsen, Danish Biotech pioneer
Søren Mouritsen, founder and for 14 years CEO of Pharmexa (formerly M & E Biotech) in February announced his leave from Pharmexa. The story of Søren Mouritsen and Pharmexa is in many ways also the story of the Danish Biotech sector. Søren Mouritsen has often expressed his points of view on the conditions under which business, research, education and technology transfer have to be carried out at the regional, national and supra-national level. ScanBalt at Nordic Council Theme Meeting 14-15 April 2004: The Northern Dimension in an Enlarged EU
The theme meeting will gather politicians from Nordic countries, the Baltic States, Northwest Russia and from other parts of Europe to discuss the EU Northern Dimension. Pat Cox, President of the European Parliament, is one of the main speakers. ScanBalt will be presented at the session on Industrial Development in the Baltic Sea Region, by Mr. Bo Samuelsson, chairman of ScanBalt. 3rd ScanBalt Forum – 1st announcement
We would like to invite you to the 3rd ScanBalt Forum – The Competence Region. The Forum will take place in Turku Science Park, Finland on 25th and 26th of August 2004. The Forum will create the future of the ScanBalt Competence region by establishing Scientific Platforms and Public-Private Partnerships. The aim of the Forum is to promote networking, to create new contacts and collaboration for mutual benefit and funding of activities within biotechnology in the ScanBalt Competence Region.
