The ScanBalt Digital Health Project Accelerator Day 29. February in Copenhagen gathered experts from around the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) for a day of intense discussion. The conclusion was clear: ScanBalt is to contribute setting a strong BSR agenda for digital health literacy.
The vice chairman of ScanBalt, Lars Lindsköld, Region Västra Götaland, says “Digital health literacy is of the outmost importance for our region whether we speak about enhancing the literacy among Health care professionals or patient groups.
The topic has additional urgency due to the immigrant situation and immigrants and staff working with immigrants may be one specific target group”.
Chairman of ScanBalt Jaanus Pikani adds “Digital health literacy plays a role for the market drive and the BSR as one market, test and development site.
Furthermore it is linked to the efficient use of personal data access structures and here Estonia may serve as a role model for the entire region”.
