Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers Per Unckel to become new county governor of Stockholm.
Per Unckel is to become the new county governor of Stockholm, according to Dagens Nyheter. Unckel has been based in Copenhagen as Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers for the last four years.
“I (..) hope to take with me a lot of positive experiences from my current job, especially of improving co-operation with other big cities around the Baltic Sea, as well as of co-operation on trade and research.”
Per Unckel is expected to take over from the current county governor, Mats Hellström, at the end of the year. Unckel is a former MP, Minister of Education and Secretary of the Moderate Party.
