The summaries found at the link below set out the overall policy objectives, Europe’s technological position in a global context and the technical, economic and political justifications for following the technology platform approach. Furthermore, they provide a snapshot of the current state of play (as of July 2004) through highlighting the key existing and planned developments and activities.
