Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Medtech Companies Exhibit at Arab Health

The medtech trade show Arab Health has grown into the world’s second largest fair for medical technology offering access to interesting and emerging markets in the Gulf region, in Africa and Asia. Reason enough for companies from Northern Germany (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein) to continuously attend the fair in Dubai with a joint presentation – as again in 2017 from January 30 to February 2, 2017.

For several years now the North-German network organizations BioCon Valley (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) and Life Science Nord (Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein) have been organizing a joint presentation that is well used by companies from the region to make international business contacts. At the upcoming presentation six companies will present their products ranging from devices for injections, infusion and tubing to rehabilitation equipment and medical IT solutions. In addition, a number of companies from Northern Germany is attending Arab Health with their own stands.

This illustrates the growing significance the trade show has for international business contacts in the medtech field. In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern especially recent figures on the economic footprint of the health economy have shown a significant potential for export activities. Correspondingly, regional administration and network organizations have been stepping up their efforts to support internationalization activities. One example is the service office for the health economy sector the federal states of Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern are maintaining in Dubai to further enhance the position of North-German companies in the Gulf region and beyond.
