Thomas Karopka, new ScanBalt eHealth specialist to promote digitalization, digital health and market access
Thomas Karopka since the beginning of June 2017 assists ScanBalt fmba with a special focus on digitalization, digital health and market access for digital health devices.
He is national coordinator for Germany in the project IC Health promoting digital literacy in Europe and represents ScanBalt in the Digital Health Society Group which prepares the Digital Health Society (DHS) Declaration launched by the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia.
Thomas Karopka has many years of experience within digital health and health care systems and has chaired several working groups on EU and international level.

IC-Health is a project to develop a series of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS) to help improve the digital health literacy of European citizens. MOOCS will be developed in eight languages (English, French, Italian, Danish, German, Swedish, Dutch and Spanish).
Countries involved in the pilot are Spain, Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Denmark.
